London Film Festival 2017 – An Update

Part 1

Okay, so, I’m just under a week into London Film Festival 2017 and, to be honest, I’m already knackered (boo hoo, woe is me, right?).

As it stands, I’ve seen thirteen films; which isn’t that many compared to previous years, but I’m struggling to find the head-space to write about any one of them. My favourite so far, Lucky, should be comparatively simple to write about, a matter of a few hundred words, but even that seems strangely insurmountable at the moment – plus The AV Club have, as usual, pretty much already got their review spot on.

I don’t want to waste anybody’s time by churning out substandard pieces to meet some arbitrary deadline I have in my head. As such, I’ve decided to wait until the end of the Festival then work back and see if I can come up with at least a few sentences on each; even if does basically boil down to “I liked x because of y” or “I didn’t like x because of z.”

In short, watch this space. It should, hopefully, at some point become occupied by something worth reading. Or maybe not. Time will tell…
