PODCAST: Dune [Movie Robcast]

Dune

Episode 128 of The Movie Robcast whisks you away to the faraway world of Arrakis for our review of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune.

Can Villeneuve succeed where David Lynch failed back in 1984, and land Frank Herbert’s epic novel, the Great White Whale of sci-fi literature?

Well, he has certainly assembled an impressive cast, including Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem, and more.

No discussion of a Dune adaptation would be complete without also talking about Lynch’s original or Alejandro Jodorowsky’s pie-in-the-sky vision for Herbert’s novel. Or a brief detour into British sitcom from the 1980s…
