Episode 129 of The Movie Robcast is the first instalment of our London Film Festival review.
To keep it to a manageable length we’ve decided to break it down into multiple episodes this year.
Kicking off proceedings is Jeymes Samuel’s lively Western, The Harder They Fall, starring Jonathan Majors, Idris Elba, Regina King, Lakeith Stanfield, Zazie Beetz, and Delroy Lindo. The film is a strong contender for best ensemble cast of the year.
Then onto Spencer, in which Kristen Stewart channels the spirit of Diana, Princess of Wales. Directed by Pablo Larraín, whose previous film Jackie was one of Rob D’s pick of the 2010s, this is another off-kilter and unusual biopic. The Robs liked it, but with reservations…
